We are conveniently situated midway along the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is the the North Norfolk coast. The nearby attractions include :

Blakeney - with old harbour formerly a large port , flint cottages ,place to book trips to view seals at Blakeney Point. Walks by marshes along Coastal Path. The Pastures a large area of green with 3 ton block of stone commemorating the millennium.
Morston - National Trust marshes and boarding place for seal trips. Home of Morston Hall Hotel with one michelin star.
Stiffkey -  along busy main road ,attractive cottages, road by camping site leads to parking for saltmarshes, former home of famous Vicar of Stiffkey who lost his parish due to visits to London to save fallen girls and then was mauled to death by a lion at a circus
Cley - formerly a port but long since silted up. Famous windmill, delicatessan, smoke house and old book shop. An experience to drive through at the height of the season  

Nearby is the modern Cley Visitor Centre complete with its own little wind turbine for birdwatchers overlooking the marshes the home to many migrating birds.

Langham - site of airfield from World War Two still visible though now with turkey sheds. Control tower and dome trainer still there. The dome trainer, a strange looking black igloo, is one of only two remaining and was used to train gunners. Major effort is being made to raise the funds to restore it. In February 2011 a memorial stone was unveiled to those who served there.
Captain Marryatt who wrote Children of the New Forest is buried in a notable grave in the  churchyard having died in the village.

Wells next the Sea - interesting old port, eat chips and watch boats on the Quay, sit on the large green space that is the Buttlands, walk out to the long sandy beach with line of beach huts of various colours and styles ; some can be purchased for £60,000.
